Overview
The USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum is looking to hire Front Desk Clerks who will assist with admissions, gift shop purchases, memberships, etc. These are part-time positions without the possibility of turning into full-time positions. Please note that schedules are subject to change each semester since there are student employees.
The two shifts that will be available are as follows:
Shift 1 - Thursdays 8:30am-1:15pm, Fridays 8:30am-1:15pm, and Saturdays 8:30am-1:15pm; 14.25 hours total.
Shift 2 - Tuesdays 1:00-5:15pm, Thursdays 1:00-7:15pm, and Sundays 1:00-5:15 pm; 14.25 hours total.
Responsibilities
1. Greet visitors and introduce them to the museum.
2. Ring up museum admissions and memberships.
3. Ring up museum gift shop purchases.
4. Ring up museum meeting room rentals.
5. Price gift shop merchandise and stock shelves.
6. Keep the gift shop areas and shelves neat and tidy.
7. Count cash drawer at the beginning and/or end of shift.
8. Open/close gift shop areas at the beginning/end of the day.
9. Become familiar with and follow gift shop policies and procedures.
10. Complete required trainings.
11. Other duties as assigned.

13. Dependable/committed to working assigned schedule.
14. Open to trading shifts with co-workers, as needed.
15. Pays attention to detail.
16. Ability to adapt to changing conditions or work assignments.
17. Ability to follows policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
18. Retail/Cash handling experience.
