Job Title: Head of Project Management - Site and Facilities Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: £95,000 plus depending on skills and experience plus executive benefits What you'll be doing: Lead the Project Management & Controls function for site and facilities strategy, with a primary focus on monitoring progress, analysing performance data, and identifying areas for improvement Produce high-quality reports and insights to support senior leadership decision-making, highlighting risks, progress against plan, and recommendations for corrective actions where needed Manage and develop a team of professional and managerial staff, ensuring effective delivery, performance, and professional growth Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate flow of information and alignment of facilities programmes with wider business goals Apply expert knowledge of project controls, reporting tools, and governance frameworks to drive robust and consistent performance tracking Act as a key contributor to senior-level reporting and strategic reviews, supporting risk mitigation and programme assurance across the site infrastructure portfolio Your skills and experiences: Strong experience in leading complex projects or programmes, preferably related to infrastructure, site operations, or facilities strategy Proven ability to monitor project performance, analyse progress data, and produce insightful reports to inform decision-making Broad understanding of project governance, assurance, and risk management practices Experience of managing and developing teams, with a focus on performance, collaboration, and delivery excellence An ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across different business areas and seniority levels Skilled in building effective working relationships with internal teams, senior leadership, and external partners Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Project Controls team: By joining us in the role and team, you will be closely involved in the ongoing transformation of the Barrow shipyard, which is undergoing a significant modernisation programme as part of the UK's future submarine build strategy. This includes major infrastructure upgrades to support increased production capacity and advanced technologies. You will lead a team supporting the delivery of large, high-value and strategically important programmes focused on site infrastructure and facilities planning.
