Base pay range
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Suffolk.
Multiple positions are available, and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to improve the quality of education for young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasing support for children with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We seek SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Suffolk.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with various learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to enhance their engagement and educational outlook.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs referred by local authorities and schools
* Supporting their educational and social-emotional development through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor Tasks and Responsibilities
* Planning engaging, needs-based sessions
* Delivering holistic sessions to meet individual needs
* Completing lesson reports and providing progress feedback
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other educational needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK and UK-based location

Employment Status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments
* Paid via PAYE, no set work amount or expenses covered
* Insurance covers your work; this is not a self-employed role
