Overview: We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team of a civil engineering contractor based in the northeast of Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs, value, and commercial performance on a high-value infrastructure project, while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with contract requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Maintain strong working relationships and clear communication with project stakeholders including clients, project managers, and engineering teams * Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and present findings to senior management * Prepare and submit Applications for Payment in line with contract deadlines * Commercially manage subcontractors, including assessing payment applications, compensation events, and agreeing final accounts * Participate in client meetings, providing professional input and advice * Prepare and submit monthly project cash flow forecasts * Monitor and report on contractual risks and opportunities, keeping the wider team informed * Ensure familiarity with and application of the Integrated Management System across all project activities Requirements: * Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering projects * Strong knowledge of NEC contracts * Proficiency in Microsoft Office * Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with timelines and quality standards * Strong negotiation and communication skills * Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic * Full UK driving licence Package Includes: * Competitive salary (DOE) * Private healthcare * Company pension * Car allowance * Employee Assistance Programme * Ongoing training and career development opportunities To apply or find out more information please email your fully up-to-date CV or call the office on (phone number removed).
