Our client, a leading global insurance broker is looking to appoint a VP Compliance & Governance Lead to provide compliance and technical governance oversight across its People Solutions division.
This is a high-visibility standalone role reporting into the COO, acting as the key point of contact for technical compliance, conduct risk and governance matters, whilst working closely with Legal, Risk and Compliance functions.
This opportunity would suit an experienced insurance compliance or governance professional looking to move into a broader first-line technical governance role with significant influence across the business.
Key responsibilities:
* Leading internal technical audits and governance reviews
* Overseeing quality assurance and file review activity aligned to FCA expectations
* Acting as a subject matter expert on conduct risk, Consumer Duty and product governance requirements
* Supporting governance of client documentation including TOBAs, fee agreements and contractual wording
* Developing and enhancing technical procedures and internal controls
* Supporting implementation of regulatory change impacting insurance intermediaries
* Producing technical guidance and best practice documentation
* Delivering compliance and regulatory training across the division
* Building strong relationships with Compliance, Risk and Legal stakeholders
Ideal experience:
* Experience within Compliance, Conduct Risk, Technical Governance or QA within insurance
* Strong understanding of FCA regulation impacting insurance distribution
* Exposure to Consumer Duty, product governance or conduct frameworks
* Experience supporting monitoring, assurance or control frameworks
* CII qualification (or equivalent experience) preferred
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
