This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a long-term programme shaping the future of UK transport infrastructure.Your new roleAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of key commercial responsibilities across a designated section of this major project. Operating with autonomy, you will:
* Lead commercial tasks and processes, exercising sound judgement within your area of responsibility.
* Work closely with the Project Manager or Commercial Manager on all commercial and contractual elements.
* Protect the organisation's commercial position through strong contractual, commercial, insurance and legal expertise.
* Build and maintain effective client relationships to support smooth commercial progression.
* Provide leadership, development and support to junior commercial team members.
* Apply strong commercial and technical knowledge to identify solutions that support delivery goals.
* Prepare and manage subcontract tender processes, evaluate returns, make recommendations and ensure accurate and timely placement of subcontracts.
What you'll need to succeed
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience working with NEC contracts.
* Background in large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
* Professional membership such as RICS, ICES or CIOB (advantageous).
* Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive mindset with the ability to lead, mentor and drive commercial excellence.
* A valid right to work in the UK.
