The Facilities Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities within AVK. Overall, you will be responsible for the effective management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Haydock facility. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage facilities contractors working across the F1 site, ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are fully reviewed and approved prior to any works. Maintain the condition of the facility and plant equipment through regular site audits, including monthly inspections and PPM, while creating and maintaining the PPM log. Manage facility-related budgets, including cost comparison, forecasting, maintaining logs, overseeing purchase orders and managing CAPEX and R&M tasks as assigned. Coordinate essential services such as reception, security, maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal, recycling, and pest control. Ensure all licenses, permits, and regulatory inspections remain current and compliant. Provide day-to-day management and leadership for Cleaning Teams. Oversee maintenance bookings, inspections, reporting, and follow-up. Oversee the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. Manage office supplies, equipment, vendor relationships, and procurement processes. Maintain accurate records and documentation, including policies, procedures, and audit-related information. Liaise with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure smooth operational support. Organise internal meetings, company events, and senior-level scheduling when required. Support health & safety compliance, including records, signage, emergency procedures, and incident reporting. Greet visitors professionally and ensure site safety and sign-in procedures are followed. Manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, directing them to the correct departments, while maintaining the reception area to a high standard. Maintain and issue visitor passes /logs, access passes, and support security access requirements. Requirements Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within an industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environment. Strong track record of managing contractors and service providers. Hands-on experience conducting site audits. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets. Flexibility / availability to do ad hoc tasks during the first 3/6 months whilst the facility is getting up and running.
