Health and Safety Manager role at MAAC, LLC. Permanent vacancy in Kirkintilloch. Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00. Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE.
Our client based in Kirkintilloch is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their busy team. We are looking for experience so that you can run with this role to the highest of standard. If you are an experienced H&S Manager, please read on for more information.
Responsibilities
* Strong knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation
* Experience in safety, health, environment, and quality management
* Prepare and undertake ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 audits
* Excellent communicator at all levels within the business
* Self-managed and motivated with attention to detail
* Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
* Good level of PC literacy, Microsoft Office and online portals
* Maintain strict confidentiality
* Excellent references and strong organisational skills
* Team-working skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
* Prepare for annual audits and complete RAMS
* Complete COSHH assessments and other risk assessments
* Arrange training courses and ensure training is up to date
* Investigate accidents and incidents and implement follow-up actions
* Compile Construction Phase Plans and Traffic Management Plans
* Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Subcontractor management
* Office health, safety and fire management (first aid boxes, extinguishers, fire alarms etc.)
* Answer H&S questions and queries; conduct H&S inductions for new engineers
* H&S meetings and inductions for new staff and subcontractors
* Toolbox talks and updating portal compliance (Constructionline, Safe Contractor, Avetta)
Requirements
* Health and safety: 2 years
* CSCS (Desirable)
* IOSH membership (or willingness to achieve)
* Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate or Construction Certificate
* Full Driving Licence
* ISO 9001 experience (Desirable)
* ISO 14001 experience (Desirable)
* ISO 45001 experience (Desirable)
* CDM 2015 awareness
* Experience in compiling Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Experience in compiling COSHH Assessments
