Role overview
The Store Manager oversees daily operations, drives sales performance, manages a team of motivated employees, and ensures exceptional customer service to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities
* Run all store operations to meet or exceed sales and KPI targets
* Create and maintain colleague schedules for proper coverage and productivity
* Recruit, train, and develop a positive team culture, building a high‑performing team
* Analyze sales data and financial reports to make quick, informed decisions on operational and commercial opportunities
* Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed sales targets
* Use visual merchandising techniques to attract and engage customers
* Ensure merchandise displays align with brand guidelines and achieve a high net promoter score (NPS)
* Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and timely
* Drive customer loyalty programs and promotions to enhance engagement
* Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
* Monitor and control store expenses to stay within budget
* Ensure health & safety regulations are complied with
Role objectives and KPI’s
* Contribute to achieving or exceeding monthly sales targets
* Drive additional KPIs including Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT
* Achieve upselling or cross‑selling targets
* Maintain a high Net Promoter Score
* Ensure stock accuracy during store audits
* Ensure new colleagues complete mandatory training
* Meet or exceed employee satisfaction and engagement survey benchmarks
* Keep operational costs within the allocated budget
Skills and Experience
* Previous management experience in a fast‑paced retail or customer‑facing environment
* Passion for retail with a good understanding of the latest trends and competitors
* Strong leadership skills with proven coaching and development experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Proven track record of managing and exceeding sales targets and KPIs
* Experience analysing reports and making commercial decisions
* Keen eye for detail and commerciality
* Visual merchandising experience is advantageous
* Ability to promote JD Group values internally and externally
