Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and develop our estimating team to achieve excellence.
* Oversee the preparation of detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for projects.
* Coordinate and prepare bid proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company profitability.
* Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure favourable terms and pricing.
* Identify potential project risks and incorporate contingency planning into estimates.
* Implement and refine estimating processes, leveraging the latest software and industry best practices.
* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure estimates support project goals.
* Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Prepare reports on estimating activities, bid status, and project profitability to inform strategic decisions.
