Role Overview: As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for creating qualified sales meetings for our Sales team – turning marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) into sales-qualified leads (SQLs). You will work across both our sales and partner channel, helping to expand our customer base by contributing to the development of the top sales funnel.
You will work closely with the Marketing Team and the Technical Presales team, participate in sales calls, follow up on leads from events, and help identify and pursue new business opportunities. Convert MQLs to SQLs by actively communicating with them over multiple channels – email, social media, and events.
Research and identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
Maintain accurate records of activities and pipeline in the CRM.
Experience in sales, business development, or presales (B2B experience preferred) in the IT industry or with a technical background is a plus

This position offers a growth path to a Sales Manager or Partner Account Manager. As you gain industry expertise and knowledge in Apache CloudStack and open-source and demonstrate strong performance in lead generation and presales activities, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility in sales activities, presales, and ultimately, closing new business. The positions offer opportunities to travel and speak at international events and contribute to the overall sales strategy.
