Location: West Midlands
Rate: £44-£47 per hour (Umbrella PAYE)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Contract: Temporary with potential for permanent roles
Overview
A great opportunity to join a modern manufacturing environment supporting advanced automated production technologies. You'll be part of a skilled maintenance team responsible for ensuring high‑volume machinery and systems operate reliably and safely. Ongoing technical training is provided, including development on major PLC and robotics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Rapid response to equipment faults to minimise downtime
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and accurate reporting
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues
Implement improvements and permanent corrective actions
Conduct safety and equipment audits
Support project work, weekend cover, and shutdown activities
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 / BTEC / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship in Engineering
Strong electrical fault‑finding skills
Experience in automated or fast‑paced manufacturing
Ideally Knowledge of PLCs, CNC machinery, conveyors, robotics, pneumatics, or similar technologies
