Main duties of the job
We seek an enthusiastic GP to care for our inner-city Bradford patients across BD4, BD5, BD6 & BD7.

Job responsibilities
Job Summary: The post-holder will manage a caseload, addressing a wide range of health needs in primary care, ensuring high standards for all patients.
Clinical Responsibilities:
* Undertake consultations (surgery, e-consultations, telephone, home visits), handle queries, paperwork, and correspondence, making autonomous decisions.
* Assess health needs, screen for risk factors, develop care plans, provide counseling and health education.
* Manage patient discharge/admission, record consultation notes, collect data for audits.
* Issue prescriptions electronically, in line with formulary, avoiding handwritten scripts.
Other Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with practice policies (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health & safety).
* Engage in lifelong learning, audits, and quality improvement.
* Contribute to the development of patient records, practice, and PCN development.
* Attend training and contribute to teaching medical students and GP trainees.
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* Recognized medical degree & CCT in General Practice
* MRCGP or equivalent
* Full GMC registration & license to practice
* Full driving license
* Proficient in English (spoken & written)
* Experience with System 1
* Previous practice experience
* Computer literacy (GP systems, MS Word, email)
* Strong consulting and communication skills
* Good time management and CPD evidence
* No criminal record
* Motivated, honest, adaptable, team-oriented
Desirable:
* Postgraduate qualifications, teaching, research, or management skills
* South Asian language skills (e.g., Urdu)
* Additional languages, understanding of primary care changes, Bradford connection, or outside interests
Experience (Essential):
* Full compliance with GP appraisal and revalidation
