The Role
Join Bryt Energy as a Sustainability Manager to drive our sustainability commitments and position Bryt Energy as a Sustainable Business Leader. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Sustainability, you will advance ESG initiatives and shape strategies that align with our environmental, social, governance and long‑term economic goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will lead the sustainability team and embed sustainable practices across the organisation, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry best practice. Your work will promote collaboration across departments, develop sustainability and insight plans, and uphold Bryt Energy’s reputation as a sustainable business.
You’ll Be Responsible For
* Managing the sustainability team, resource allocation, appraisal reviews, and personal development.
* Developing and delivering sustainability and insight plans aligned with company goals such as SDGs, SBTi, and Net Zero.
* Implementing new strategies to meet sustainability objectives and understanding stakeholder needs.
* Ensuring accurate performance metrics, disclosures and compliance with audits, regulations and reporting requirements (ISO14064, SECR, GDPR, SBTi, etc.).
* Evaluating sustainability, ESG and energy market trends, and making actionable recommendations for strategic decisions.
* Providing internal stakeholder education and training to embed sustainability practices across the business.
* Managing external sustainability agency projects, representing the company, and building connections with customers, partners and regulators.
* Approving sustainability messaging and marketing activity, ensuring transparency, accuracy and compliance with green code guidelines.
* Identifying research and insight risks and developing mitigation strategies with effective systems, policy and procedures.
* Living the Bryt Energy brand culture and values, ensuring consistency, accuracy and excellence across all projects.

You possess a commercial focus, analytical mindset, and the ability to handle complex data, KPIs and measurement. You are a confident leader who can inspire and work across all functions while maintaining a flexible, growth‑oriented approach.
Education & Training
* Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or professional certification in Sustainable Development, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences or related field.
* Experience driving and implementing ESG/CSR management.
* Knowledge of sustainability regulations and reporting frameworks on a national/global scale.
* Research and insight to support business strategy.
* Mid‑senior management level experience.
* Team management and development experience.
* Renewable energy sector experience or passion (desirable).
Abilities & Skills
Autonomous, strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving skills. Excellent organisational, research, analytical, communication and influencing abilities. Data‑savvy with IT system proficiency. Able to manage multiple stakeholders, present to Board level and external conferences, and work within an agile environment. A self‑starter who thrives against tight deadlines and keeps projects focused on key objectives.
