Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Degree in Pharmacy MPharm, BSc or BPharm.
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacist.
* Knowledge of General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics and Performance and their implications for practice.
* Postgraduate clinical diploma in clinical pharmacy (hospital) or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3 years registration & 2 years within a hospital environment.
* Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
* Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
Duties of this role include:
* Providing pharmaceutical expertise and input to patient care within a CHG hospital, supporting the pharmacy department in delivering an excellent medicine management service, supervising procurement, preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medicines, and supervising junior staff.
* Facilitating the daily operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring a safe and effective medicines management service for patients, staff, and others.
* Providing clinical input regarding medicines to all patients.
* Ensuring accurate and timely charging processes.
* Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory, professional, and best practice frameworks.
