An experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant is required to join a Law Firm to support the firms Commercial Property department, to be based in the Malton area, North Yorkshire.
Duties:
Preparation of documents including audio and copy typing
Filing and organising documents
Making appointments and scheduling meetings, diary management
Liaising with clients
Opening and updating files on the case management system (proclaim)
Working in line with money laundering regulations
Preparing invoices, assist with billing and completion statements
Companies house searches
Use of the Land Registry portal
Preparing and submitting SDLT forms
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant ideally within Property but other areas of law will be considered
Are able to prioritise and manage a varied and busy workload
Have experience in providing first class Secretarial support
Can type and draft documents
Have a good working knowledge of land and property legal forms and searches
Are extremely organised and can stay on top of deadlines
Work well and add a positive impact within a thriving team
Have the ability to communicate professionally with other departments and stakeholders internal and external
Salary is negotiable depending on experience. The role will be full time working 9am 5pm. The firm operate a hybrid working model which will include working from home 1-2 days per week.
