Offer description

If you're interested in putting predictive modelling at the heart of Financial Services, then this is the ideal place to start your career.

Programme overview

We work with clients in Financial Services (FS) with regulatory and risk modelling challenges in areas such as market risk and credit risk. We collaborate with teams across EY to bring together a range of quantitative modelling and technical skillsets needed to support our clients' highly specific and complex requirements. We offer our clients comprehensive solutions to industry-wide challenges, including IRB, IFRS 9, Stress Testing, FRTB, IMM, Traded Risk Management and Monitoring, and ESG Risk.

Data is at the heart of what we do, and technology is the driver for the solutions we bring to our clients. We use cloud-based high-processing power platforms to develop data extraction and warehousing solutions, leveraging machine learning and advanced analytics. This includes using various programming languages (e.g. Python, R, Azure ML, SAS, SQL), Bloomberg terminal and data visualisation or reporting tools like Power BI to bring non-technical users along the journey.

What you will be doing

* Working together in a collaborative team environment, where curiosity and questions are encouraged.

* Analysing data to identify trends.

* Developing statistical models to predict things such as credit loss.

* Reviewing and validating models to ensure the accuracy of outputs.

* Performing derivative valuations.

* Translating technical methodologies and findings into digestible information for non-technical audiences.

* You'll be working across a portfolio of clients assigned to you. This will involve a mixture of hybrid working – travelling to client offices, working in the EY office and occasionally from home. It will vary by client/project and will depend on the requirements of both the client and project team.
