Hartlepool Sixth Form is the top performing Sixth Form college in the North East for student achievement, with 100% pass rate for over 30 courses and 98% of our student progressing to either College or employment.
Here in Hartlepool, we have been delivering highly successful courses for more than 50 years as the only dedicated sixth form college in the area. Situated on the outskirts of the town centre, we have excellent facilities for both academic and vocational study with excellent sports facilities, fully equipped science labs, and have recently invested in a new digital academy and a health simulation ward.
About the Candidate
Do you have the skills and drive to lead a small Estates team looking after out Hartlepool campus? You will supervise the onsite team, part of the larger EPNE Estates team, to continue to drive improvements to our facilities and service and provide the best possible experience for our leaners. Ability to lead from the front, problem solve and coordinate the team to ensure the day to day operation of the site meets the high standards of EPNE.
About the Role
You will lead the team to provide a proactive and customer focused service, to not only ensure our Hartlepool Sixth Form Campus remains available and fit for purpose, but also in the continued drive for improvements to both our facilities and the service delivered from the Estates department.
Role Responsibilities
Manage service desk requests, low level maintenance tasks and Planned Preventive Maintenance schedules ensuring required work is completed in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate and support Estates Technicians in the completion of day to day activities, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with departmental procedures.
Work with line manager to ensure applicable Facilities Management services are maintained in accordance with legislation.
Ensure appropriate staffing resources are available via staff rotas to meet business needs.
Work with line manager to drive improvements in energy efficiency, recording metrics to identify high usage.
Qualifications
Level 2 Maths and English or willingness to work towards
Health & Safety Qualification or willingness to work towards
A valid UK driving licence
Essential Skills & Experience
Previously employed within an Estates / facilities Management role
Use of IT based systems
Compliance to Health & Safety legislation and guidelines
Desirable Skills & Experience – (Optional)
Experience leading a team
Basic trouble shooting of HVAC plant
