What you'll do

Summary

£14.65 - £15.15 per hour | 30-hour contract | 30-35 days holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Enhanced family leave

As a Retail Shift Manager at Lidl, you’ll help us maintain our high standards day after day. From motivating your team to taking responsibility for the shop floor, you’ll keep our store running smoothly, thriving in a fast-paced environment. In return, we offer a competitive hourly pay rate based on equal opportunity and pay structures, plus an extra £2.00 per hour for work during bank holidays and £3.50 per hour for night shifts. Our benefits package supports your well-being and work-life balance.

What you'll do

1. Motivate and support your team, learning from our Leadership and Company Principles
2. Solve problems quickly and delegate tasks effectively
3. Create an environment where colleagues can succeed
4. Manage store operations and colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager and Deputy Manager
5. Oversee freshness, cash processes, inventory, and stock management to ensure smooth shifts
6. Provide excellent customer service at all times

What you'll need

1. Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment
2. Ability to delegate tasks and motivate others
3. Patience and a friendly manner, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
4. A passion to be a key part of the Store Team
5. A proactive and encouraging approach to team development and store operations
