Overview
Quality Improvement Midwife – deputy practice development midwife role at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust.
15 hours per week • Fixed term for 12 months • Salary: £38,682 - £46,580 per annum • Closing Date: 17 September 2025 • Interview Date: TBC
Responsibilities
* Support the design, delivery, and evaluation of engaging, evidence-based training across the maternity service. Create innovative learning materials, deliver simulation and skills sessions, and ensure training meets CNST, CQC, Ockenden, and trust requirements.
* Maintain accurate training records, produce reports, review national and local guidance, support clinical governance activities, and liaise with the trust’s Learning & Development team to share best practice.
* Be a visible presence in clinical areas, work with multi-disciplinary teams to identify learning needs, deliver training sessions, embed new knowledge into everyday care, and promote a culture of safety and continual improvement.
Qualifications and experience
* Motivated and creative midwife with a passion for training and education, able to support the design, delivery, and evaluation of training across maternity services.
* Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and delivering education in clinical settings.
