We are looking for an experienced and passionate Escalator Repair Engineer to join our Scotland & North division based in Manchester, who will be responsible for repairing our clients' escalators across their region.
As an Escalator Repair Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Repairing and maintaining customer escalators
2. Repairing or replacing escalator parts
3. Responding to mechanical failures and breakdowns
4. Carrying out safety checks and risk assessments
5. Planning and managing workload around assigned jobs
6. Maintaining van stock and ordering supplies through our supply chain
7. Recommending parts and equipment that need to be quoted or ordered to keep the escalators compliant
8. Out of hours work on a pro rata basis
Minimum requirements include:
1. NVQ3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent qualifications
2. Hold a full UK Driving License and able to travel
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. The ability to use your initiative and work well with others
5. Positive attitude and receptive to change
6. Extremely organised
7. Superior customer-care skills
8. The ability to self-assess and take ownership of personal development
9. An advocate for H&S regulations in the workplace
