We are currently seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Maths Teachers to work in a variety of secondary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers who are passionate about Maths education and enjoy the flexibility of supply work in Wrexham and surrounding areas.
Job Specification
If you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or experienced maths teacher we offer roles which include delivering the curriculum in Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 4 (KS4) with a possible work at Key Stage 5 (KS5).
As a maths teacher you’ll be expected to:
1. Hold QTS status
2. Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
3. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
4. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
5. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
6. Maintain discipline
7. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
8. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
9. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
10. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
11. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
