We are looking for four dynamic individuals to join our Early Intervention and Prevention team. What will be expected from me? The purpose of this role is to work directly with children and young people delivering a high-quality early intervention and prevention offer across Wakefield district with a clear focus on improving outcomes for children and their families. What I might be doing? You will work directly with a caseload of children and young people aged 11-25 ensuring that services are delivered in compliance with relevant legislation, local and national policy, and guidance, achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people in the district. You will help children and young people identify what they need to help them achieve their aspirations through a co-produced plan of activity. You will work alongside schools and education providers in promoting school attendance and inclusive approaches that help children's academic achievement and successful transition to adulthood. You will contribute to and develop partnership approaches that prevent children from adverse outcomes such as crime, exploitation or anti-social behaviour. You will adopt relationship based and trauma informed practice to ensure children and young people receive a personalised service. You will contribute to a positive culture informed by robust performance and assurance systems that demonstrate the quality and impact of the service. Essential requirements: Experience of working directly with children and young people. Experience of engaging and working with children and young people. Experience of delivering successful interventions to children and young people. Experience of contributing to the delivery of exciting and imaginative youth provision. Experience of working alongside community and voluntary sector organisations to provide activities for children and young people. A flexible approach to working. A relevant professional qualification or demonstrable evidence of working towards a professional qualification relevant to the work area. Why Wakefield Council?
