The Role As an Accounts & Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for a range of duties across bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and accounts preparation. Key Responsibilities Processing client bookkeeping records accurately and efficiently Preparing and submitting VAT returns Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts for limited companies and sole traders Processing weekly and monthly payroll, including resolving any payroll queries or errors Ensuring weekly reports are completed and delivered in a timely manner Supporting the wider team with additional finance-related tasks as required About You GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths A minimum of 1 years experience in accounts and payroll processing Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and Dext Experience using BrightPay payroll software would be advantageous Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills Whats on Offer Full-time, Monday to Friday (no weekends) Flexitime working options Performance-related bonus Opportunity to work within a supportive and professional team If youre looking for a role where you can build on your existing experience and contribute to a busy finance function, wed love to hear from you.
