My client is seeking a driven Long/Short Equity Analyst to join their London-based healthcare team, focusing on small- to mid-cap biotech. Key Responsibilities
* Analyze and monitor healthcare companies to identify long and short investment opportunities.
* Build and maintain financial models to support investment theses.
* Conduct deep-dive sector research and track scientific, clinical, and market developments.
* Contribute to portfolio management discussions and risk assessments.
* Prepare clear, actionable investment notes, presentations, and internal reports.
* Collaborate closely with a small team to generate and execute investment ideas.
Qualifications
* Scientific background preferred (MD, PhD, or bachelor’s in biology or related field).
* Buyside experience is needed, ideally within L/S equities.
* Strong analytical, modeling, and quantitative skills.
* Comfortable working independently in a small, high-impact team.
* Curious, proactive, and motivated to learn and contribute.
* Exposure to long/short strategies preferred, but long-only experience is welcome.
