Job Description:
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Bartle, Preston area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers.
This is an independent mental health hospital, specialising in the management and treatment of acute mental ill health and eating disorders.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
As the Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities include:
* Managing and coordinating the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services, ensuring treatments, activities, and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication.
* Receiving and responding promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering appropriate interventions on an individual or group basis. Maintaining accurate and timely records of each patient's rehabilitation and progress.
* Ensuring the effective and efficient management of junior staff.
* Maintaining and developing close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring practice complies with policies, procedures, statutory regulations, and quality standards.
* Contributing to business growth by actively promoting therapy services in line with the local units’ business plan.
* Maintaining effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient’s rehabilitation.
The following skills and experience are preferred and beneficial:
* Experience working within specialised areas such as addictions, neuro-rehab, or eating disorders.
* A positive, can-do attitude.
* Holding a full driving licence.
* Participation in appropriate clinical supervision.
The successful Occupational Therapist will receive a salary of £13,296 per annum. This is a permanent part-time role working 15 hours a week. In return, you will enjoy benefits including:
