Hepatology Clinical Nurse Specialist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse with a special interest in Hepatology to join our established Hepatology Team at St Marks. We are looking for a nursing colleague who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, organised, compassionate, reliable and flexible, who can prioritise their workload and demonstrate excellence in care of patients with Hepatology and hepatocellular cancer (HCC) disease.
Key Responsibilities
* Support improved uptake in HCC surveillance in at risk groups, developing a robust surveillance service for patients identified as per agreed clinical pathways.
* Develop, maintain, and use a database and tracking system for patient surveillance.
* Provide comprehensive clinical skills, information, advice and support to patients with Hepatology issues across St Mark’s Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, and Ealing Hospital.
* Work as an independent practitioner alongside other members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Undertake research and participate in clinical audits in the specialist area, ensuring maintenance of clinical excellence underpinned by evidence‑based practice.
* Participate in the education and training of the multidisciplinary team within the trust, regionally, nationally and internationally.
* Provide expert clinical advice and support to all members of the multidisciplinary team within the trust.
