This position is a Monday to Friday position based in Milton Keynes. The role itself you will be operating a wide variety of machinery where you will support some of the leading global manufacturers across a variety of industries.
Task & Responsibilities
* Ensure efficient, safe, and timely execution of repair and overhaul activities in the workshop, coordinating processes, technical activities. Also ensure information flow with service, order desk, spare parts, technical support & customers.
* Ensure quality, efficiency & continuous improvement of repair processes.
* Execute repair & overhaul processes according to procedures & standards
* Handle internal orders for recalibration, overhaul & repairs
* Evaluate & monitor issues & propose corrective measures/actions
* Manage & maintain a safe working environment
* Ensure HSE guidelines are followed & report any incidents
* Ensure internal warehouse supplies are kept up to date
* Manage workspace, equipment & apply 5S methodology
Core Qualifications
* NVQ / SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering Machining
(e.g. Turning, Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering, Performing Engineering Operations)
* City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering qualifications
* Completed engineering apprenticeship (time-served)
Technical Skills & Experience
* Experience in roles such as Field Service Mechanic, Tester, Assembler, or similar
* Strong knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance processes
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (including GD&T)
* Competent in reading and working with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
* Skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment (e.g. bore gauges)
* Hands-on experience with machining equipment (lathes, grinders, etc.)
* Knowledge of workshop safety standards and regulations
* Experience handling heavy components (up to 10 tonnes)
