The Role
As Head of Design & Technology, you will provide strategic leadership across the DT curriculum, overseeing provision at KS3 & KS4, with potential KS5 depending on specialism (e.g. Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering).
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the vision and development of the DT department
* Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
* Overseeing curriculum planning, schemes of work, and quality assurance
* Monitoring student progress and implementing intervention strategies
* Line managing and developing departmental staff
* Ensuring health & safety compliance within practical environments
* Promoting enrichment opportunities such as competitions, exhibitions, and STEM initiatives
You will maintain a teaching timetable and model outstanding classroom practice.

The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
* Strong subject knowledge within Design & Technology
