As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Data and Analytics Office, you'll be a key player in our agile team. We work together to enhance, build, and deliver top-notch technology products securely and efficiently. Your expertise and problem-solving skills will be crucial in promoting business impact and tackling a diverse array of technical challenges. Job responsibilities
* Provide technical guidance and support to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
* Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
* Make decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
* Lead the design and development of cloud infrastructure and platform tools, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership to the cloud engineering team.
* Contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and best practices in the Software Development Life Cycle.
* Influence peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies.
* Foster a team culture of integrity, equity, and respect.
* Collaborate with development teams to enable delivery of secure, scalable applications on the cloud.
* Identify areas for improvement and prioritize initiatives aligned with business goals.
* Stay updated with advancements in cloud technologies and recommend new tools and technologies for adoption.
* Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for cloud operations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Formal training or certification in software engineering with proven experience.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Advanced knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.).
* Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, or CloudFormation.
* Proficiency in programming languages like Golang, Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, with understanding of software development best practices.
* Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus.
* Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, shift-left methodologies, and DevSecOps processes.
* Deep understanding of software applications and technical disciplines like cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.
* Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems.
* Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
Additional qualifications
* Experience with multi-cloud architectures.
* Certifications in relevant areas such as Cloud, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
