We're looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a strong background in supplier auditing to take ownership of supplier oversight within a growing financial services business. This is a brand new, dedicated role, designed to bring fresh energy, modern thinking, and real accountability to an area that is central to regulatory compliance and customer trust.
You'll be the go-to person for supplier due diligence, onboarding, auditing, and ongoing monitoring, working closely with compliance, business support, and senior stakeholders. It's a chance to put your stamp on an existing framework, bring it up to date, and help shape how supplier oversight is done in a modern FCA-regulated business.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead on supplier oversight, ensuring all third-party providers deliver consistently high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused services.
* Carry out supplier due diligence, including credit checks, reviews, and onboarding assessments.
* Conduct regular audits and mini-audits with suppliers and their teams, both onsite and remotely.
* Review supplier processes and staff training, highlighting risks, gaps, or opportunities for improvement.
* Prepare recommendations and reports for the Oversight Committee and escalate breaches or concerns where necessary.
* Provide updates to the Risk Committee and engage directly with senior stakeholders, including the board.
* Work with compliance and business support teams to maintain and improve oversight processes and procedures.
* Monitor suppliers against the company's risk appetite, FCA expectations, and internal policies.
* Keep oversight records accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready at all times.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in supplier oversight, supplier auditing, or compliance within a financial services or FCA-regulated environment.
* Strong understanding of supplier risk management and regulatory expectations.
* Confident in conducting audits, writing reports, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
* Analytical and detail-focused, but also able to bring fresh ideas and modern solutions to manual or outdated processes.
* Able to work independently, owning supplier oversight without needing direct reports.
* Comfortable balancing office-based work with occasional onsite supplier visits.
* A natural relationship-builder, able to challenge where needed but maintain professional rapport.
Why This Role?
* High visibility: you'll be reporting directly into the Head of Compliance and presenting to senior committees.
* A fresh canvas: there's already a framework in place, but this role is about re-energising it and making it fit for the modern regulatory environment.
* Impact: suppliers are central to the business model, and your work will directly influence risk management and customer outcomes.
* Variety: you'll be office-based most of the time, but with opportunities to get out for onsite audits and supplier meetings.
