Senior YouTube Video Editor Wanted

We're looking for a highly skilled YouTube video editor who knows how to turn raw footage into engaging, high-retention content. This role is for someone who understands pacing, storytelling, and audience psychology — not just cutting clips together.
You should be comfortable working on long-form YouTube videos and pulling out short-form moments when needed. Strong audio handling is important, but this is ultimately a YouTube-first editing role focused on watch time, clarity, and polish.
What You'll Be Doing
- Editing YouTube videos for engagement, pacing, and retention
- Structuring content to keep viewers watching through strong hooks, flow, and clean transitions
- Colour grading and visual polishing for a consistent, professional look
- Adding branded intros, outros, and subtle motion elements
- Cleaning, syncing, and balancing audio for clarity and consistency
- Occasionally creating simple motion graphics such as lower thirds, captions, titles, and callouts
- Preparing final exports optimized for YouTube standards
Tools You Must Be Highly Proficient In
- Adobe Premiere Pro with advanced editing workflows
- Adobe After Effects for basic to intermediate motion graphics
- Audio cleanup tools and plugins including EQ, compression, noise reduction, and de-essing
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience editing YouTube content is non-negotiable
- Strong understanding of YouTube pacing, storytelling, and viewer retention
- Excellent attention to detail in both visuals and sound
- Ability to work with imperfect footage and make it feel polished
- Professional, reliable, and receptive to feedback with improvement over ego
- Fast and stable internet connection is mandatory
- If power outages or unreliable connectivity are common where you live, this role won't be a good fit
You need to be able to take on at least 2 videos per week.
Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
