Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Team Member - Entry Level Chef to join our dynamic team. Duties
* Meal preparation and food presentation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
* Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
* Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with event setup and breakdown
* Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors
Requirements
* Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is key
* Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Basic skills in meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
* A proactive attitude with a keen interest in culinary arts and customer service excellence
