Bank Clinical Support Worker
Join our team of Bank Clinical Support Workers at Cedars at Grace Anderson Ward, Teddington Memorial Hospital—a 25‑bed rehabilitation in‑patient unit that cares for adults over 18 years of age. The unit works with a multidisciplinary team to provide quality, flexible care as the service evolves.
Job Summary
Provide flexible ward cover across the Cedars Unit, supporting personal care, patient observations, and meal assistance. Work under the supervision of a trained nurse, recording observations on a computerised system, and helping patients with their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide flexible cover to wards across Cedars Unit.
* Assist with all aspects of personal care following patients’ care plans.
* Take and record patient observations (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) on the computerised system.
* Support patients with eating and drinking, serve meals and snacks.
* Assist patients with their rehabilitation goals under nurse supervision.
* Operate within a friendly and supportive working environment with excellent training and development opportunities.
Experience (Essential)
* Experience of working in a healthcare environment.
* Experience of taking and recording observations.
* Experience in caring for elderly patients.
Experience (Desirable)
* 1+ year experience as a Clinical Support Worker.
Knowledge (Essential)
* Knowledge of the need for accurate observations.
* Understanding of when to report results.
* Knowledge of a Clinical Support role.
* Knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Office.
Personal Qualities (Essential)
* Patience and understanding.
* Caring nature.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Reliability.
* Ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications (Essential)
* GCSE English or Equivalent.
* Evidence of secondary education.
* Computer literacy.

* NVQ Level 2.
* Care Certificate.

* Good spoken English.
* Ability to write patient notes accurately.
