Baby Room Lead – Nursery
CambridgePermanent | Full-TimeHours: 7:30am – 6:30pm (flexible working pattern)£15.00 – £17.00 per hourStart Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Baby Room Lead to join a warm and nurturing nursery in Cambridge. This is a permanent, full-time role and an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their early years career.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the baby room, ensuring high-quality care and education for children aged 0–2
* Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
* Support, mentor, and guide staff within the room
* Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children’s progress
* Complete observations, assessments, and developmental records
* Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for babies to thrive
Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent)
* Previous experience working in a baby room, ideally in a leadership or senior role
* Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
* Confident, caring, and organised leadership style
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
