Job description:
We are recruiting a Process Operative for our Telford site within the Muller Yogurts and Desserts business unit. The role involves operating and managing the designated plant, achieving daily operational targets, and maintaining GMP standards within the process department.
Details:
* Contract: Permanent, Full-time
* Location: Telford
* Shifts: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts (days and nights 6-6)
* Salary: £31,079 per annum plus overtime at 1x5 rate
Responsibilities:
* Deliver the daily production plan
* Operate plant/equipment and perform routine maintenance
* Achieve daily KPI targets
* Coordinate with Key Operators for start-up procedures, ensuring good manufacturing practices, housekeeping, hygiene, and safety standards
* Ensure effective shift handovers and remain on line until relief takes over
* Monitor product quality, identify non-conformance, and implement corrective actions
* Maintain accurate and timely SIC and Quality documentation
* Train operators to ensure competence
* Lead by example, promoting company values and culture
* Comply with food safety standards, control CCPs, and follow quality procedures
* Maintain GMP standards and seek continuous improvement
* Ensure health, safety, and welfare of all personnel
* Perform other duties as assigned within skills and abilities
* Promote and adhere to company policies, procedures, and values
Key skills & experience:
* Mechanical aptitude
* Experience with machinery in fast-paced production environments is desirable
* Focus on first-time quality to minimize waste
* Experience in controlling material losses
* Adherence to GMP standards
* Knowledge of H&S statistics (accidents, near misses)
* Teamwork and collaboration skills
* Flexibility to adapt to changing plans
* Good communication skills
* Initiative and prioritization abilities
