Job Description:
As a key people leader in the production directorate, the role reports directly to the Production Manager (PM). In the absence of the Production Manager, the Supervisor(s) will have delegated functional and disciplinary authority over the operational program and all colleagues within the department. Strategic and financial decisions will at all times remain with the Production Manager. Depending on the department setup, the Supervisor may have dedicated functional responsibilities, but will have an overarching mandate to support all Production Manager duties and responsibilities.

* HNC/HND (or equivalent) preferably in an engineering or aircraft maintenance discipline or
* Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or
* Demonstrable equivalent experience leading technical teams
Experience and Knowledge:
* People management experience within an operational, unionised environment.
* Effective communication skills to engage and influence direct reports.
* Proven experience in performance management.
* Experience in coaching and developing self and teams.
* Understanding of MRO operations and processes.
* Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., CAA/FAA/EASA).
* Process improvement and change management skills.
* Working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
* Proficiency in PC applications (e.g., SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Trustworthiness.
* Team leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide teams.
* Aware of when to seek support for self or others.
* Ability to lead, inspire, and build high-performing teams.
* Effective communication of operational and business strategies to a skeptical workforce.
* Good organizational skills.
* Planning, problem-solving, and administrative skills.
The candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK without restrictions.
Mandatory training will be required.
May require working "Double Days" or "4 on 4 off" shifts.
