The Beaver Project Officer role is an exciting opportunity to lead on the delivery of the wild release licence, ensuring successful implementation over its 10‑year term and helping facilitate positive coexistence between beavers and people.
Responsibilities
* Lead on delivery of the wild release licence ensuring successful implementation over its 10-year term and facilitate positive coexistence between beavers and people.
* Build and maintain relationships with landowners, partners and other relevant stakeholders.
* Deliver public engagement and educational events.
* Coordinate volunteers and provide practical beaver management advice and support.
* Monitor beaver populations.
Qualifications
* Exceptional project management and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and engagement skills with a wide range of partners and land managers.
* Proven track record of leading complex projects, strong planning skills and experience managing budgets.
* Prior knowledge of beaver ecology and legislation (desirable).
* Some practical experience of undertaking beaver management (desirable).
