Role: Fire Alarm Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary:£30,000-£40,000 (DOE)
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer with sound knowledge and experience in servicing, repairing, and installing fire alarm equipment, including emergency lighting.
Key Responsibilities
* Install fire alarm systems in industrial and commercial premises to BAFE standards.
* Perform small and large installations independently or as part of a team.
* Service and maintain systems in line with British Standards.
* Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
* Complete accurate documentation, including timesheets, work reports, and service reports.
* Conduct reactive and preventative maintenance on fire security systems.
* Demonstrate systems to customers, explaining causes and consequences of false alarms.
* Maintain good relations with clients and colleagues.
* Participate in the on-call system.
Requirements
* Proven knowledge and FIA-certified competencies (or equivalent training).
* Reliable, conscientious, organized, and confident in your work.
* Ability to deliver neat, high-standard work with a positive "can-do" attitude.
* Strong fault-finding and technical skills in Fire Alarms, PAVA, Emergency Lighting, Nurse Call, and Disabled Refuge Systems.
* CSCS card, Full UK Driver's License, and the right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS and security checks required.
* 18th Edition desirable (17th Edition essential).
