The opportunity
Working from our facility in Castle Donington, Derby, you will play an important role in the TP Aerospace Group. You will be responsible for ensuring work is completed in accordance with procedures and ensure sufficient availability of qualified staff to carry out maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Your tasks will revolve around the daily operation of the MRO (Part-145) facility, including but not limited to:
* Co-ordination of all staff within their work area, drawing up a daily work plan to deliver their section to an agreed schedule.
* Allocation of tasks and responsibility within their work area.
* Monitor performance against plan, provide regular briefings, guidance, and support to staff as necessary to deliver the plan.
* Ensure that the quality standards of all work accomplished by staff in the maintenance department comply with the quality management procedures, the MOE and that the final product is to a standard acceptable to the organisation and NAA Part 145.
* Control and administer all production workshop departments under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
* Provide updates to Maintenance Manager on any issues impacting their work plan to targets, proposed solutions, next steps within their plan and future work allocation.
* Assist with individual development including carrying out formal appraisals and advising on suitability for further training or development of technicians and reporting any indiscretions or problems with quality of work and/or discipline to the Maintenance Manager.
* Review with the Maintenance Manager on an on-going basis all departmental operating procedures.
* Have a recorded competency of minimum two years’ experience of Part 145 maintenance / repair activities.
* Assist with quality audit and support the implementation of robust closure plans.
* Responsible for continued H&S ‘duty of care’ of their team, ensuring all current procedures are followed.
* In the event of the Maintenance Manager not being available, will deputies as the Maintenance Manager.
We seek a talent that can identify with the below
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a technician
* Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and be flexible to meet changing working requirements.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal & supervisory skills.
* Full UK Driving license Essential.
* Excellent knowledge of the company’s IT systems, including MS Office, and Quantum Control.
