Under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, the Trust maintains the statutory duties of a Category 1 responder. This work is referred to in the Health community as Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response - EPRR.
The Office of EPRR maintains a strategic overview of resilience arrangements across the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, and has agency to support hospital functions with effective response to an incident.
This is a niche area, and the successful candidate will be supporting the Head of Resilience with complying with the EPRR Core Standards Framework and during live incidents.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day administrational duties in the office for EPRR. This will include scheduling relevant governance and steering group meetings, supporting the Head of Resilience with arranging training and exercising, managing specialist resources such as the Incident Coordination Centre (ICC) and taking notes and replying to correspondence.
You will be for the point of contact for external suppliers of specialist equipment and managing the required preventative programme of maintenance (PPM) schedules for resources that are required in the event of an emergency.
You will be in daily contact with internal colleagues and senior executives from across the Trust, supporting them with managing their plans and procedures and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of developments. The post holder will also be working with partners from across the Integrated Care System (ICS), local authorities and blue light (emergency) services.
