Introduction
Electronics Assembly Technician is a key role in the manufacture of sub assemblies & rack systems working within the operations department. The working hours for this role is 07h15 to 17h30, Monday to Thursday
Key Responsibilities
1. Manufacture check & follow detailed build instructions to a high degree of accuracy
2. Manufacture product in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints
3. Complete manufacturing tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.
4. The role requires a zero tolerance to defects
5. Proactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement
6. Work within a zero harm culture
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Core Requirements
7. Experienced in Aerospace industry or similar industry.
8. Extensive experience in working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments, and design to spec environments
9. Excellent communication skills
10. Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
11. Experience in the use of ERP/Shop booking systems
12. Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
13. Strong attention to detail
14. Able to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlines
15. Accreditations in IPC 610/620 or Recognised Similar such ESA/ECSS
Desireable Skills and Experience
16. Experience of Accredited Quality Systems such as ISO9001 or AS9100
17. Knowledge or experience of Lean manufacturing or production techniques
18. Formal Apprenticeship
19. Additional accreditations such as trainer for IPC610/620 Jstd
