Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform NDT inspections using methods such as UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), and VT (Visual Testing).
* Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 3834 welding quality requirements and TWI best practices.
* Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
* Collaborate with welding inspectors, quality engineers, and production teams to ensure product integrity.
* Participate in audits and quality reviews as required.
* Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
* Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety in all testing activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications
* Certification in NDT methods (e.g., PCN, ASNT Level II or III, or equivalent).
* Proven experience and qualifications in a heavy steel fabrication or marine environments.
Skills
* Familiarity with ISO 3834, 5817 EN 1090, and TWI welding inspection standards.
* Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and defect characterization.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld maps.
