Job Description:
This role involves applying advanced simulation techniques to analyze and optimize manufacturing and logistics processes within the automotive industry. The engineer will develop and implement discrete event simulation models using Witness, conduct bottleneck analysis, optimize material flows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Developing simulation models to optimize production processes.
* Analyzing bottlenecks and recommending improvements.
* Assessing buffer sizes and evaluating different production scenarios.
* Ensuring process adherence to vehicle sequencing and build rules.
* Optimizing logistics, including onsite and inter-site material movements, and estimating AGV quantities.
* Collaborating to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in automotive production or logistics environments.
* Hands-on experience with Witness Discrete Event Simulation software.
* Strong Excel VBA skills for data analysis.
* Experience modeling assembly lines for efficiency improvements.
* Analytical skills focused on bottleneck analysis and process optimization.
* Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
