Your New Role Our client is currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer to join an established maintenance team.
Whilst on shift your core duties will largely be centred around maintaining fast-paced packaging lines, dealing with day-to-day production requirements and dealing with any issues that may arise. You will also be required to: Maintain high output production lines • Complete the day-to-day production requirements • Dealing with any issues that may arise • Fault diagnosis in electrical systems and equipment • Interpreting electrical drawings • Maintaining an organised work environment • Work to quality standards • Will perform other duties as directed • Ability to work overtime including weekends/bank holidays if required • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered. What You'll Need To Succeed In order to be considered for this role you will need to have relevant industrial maintenance experience, a recognised qualification and most importantly, the right attitude!
Essential Criteria: Hands-on experience in a maintenance engineering capacity • Achieved a recognised mechanical qualification • Working knowledge of the following: Hydraulics / PLC / Pneumatics / SCADA systems • Ability to work as part of a team • Excellent communication skills • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills • Ability to make decisions, plan and prioritise work • Ability to use own initiative • Flexibility in working hours during the high season. Desirable Criteria: Candidates ideally have forklift experience, however this is not essential as Forklift Licence Training will be provided • Experience of working in a busy environment. What You'll Get In Return Working a standard 37.5 hour week across Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:00 will earn a salary of £31000 DoE.
During peak production season additional hours will be required to be worked in order to satisfy additional production requirements. Subject to demand, the hours could alter to longer day shifts or an early/late rotation. OT is paid at 1.5 and 2.0 on Sundays.
