The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years experience working as an HGV focused mechanic.
The Role My client are seeking a punctual, hard working and self motivated HGV focused Mechanic to join our their team in an important role as part of their continued growth.
This position reports directly to the Business Owner and involves working as the lead HGV focused specialist within the business.
The business owner is hands-on and supportive but the successful individual will be expected to be able to run things by themselves when he is not present, be able to use initiative, pick up things and run with them and take full responsibility and be accountable for the workshops performance.
This individual will need to take great pride in their work, work to a very high standard and inspire less experienced staff.
The position is of a permanent full time nature but my client are very happy to consider professionals who may be looking for slightly reduced hours or flexibility around start and finish times.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Servicing & repairs to HGV vehicles Electrical and Mechanical Fault finding & Diagnostics MOT Preparation Safety inspections to DVSA standard Maintain a clean and safe working environment Act as a point of escalation for more junior staff Experience / Skills At least 5 years experience gained within a similar role Automotive/Mechanical focused qualifications (preferred but not essential).
Class 1 Driving Licence Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
