NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. This is a full-time, permanent position of 37 hours per week, with a Monday to Friday shift pattern.
We are offering an exciting opportunity within the NHSGGC Dietetic Service for a Band 5 clinical rotational dietitian. The successful candidate will help deliver and develop a clinically effective dietetic service across Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The clinical rotations in the adult dietetic service include Oncology, Rehabilitation/Neurosciences, Surgery/Critical Care, Respiratory/Medical/Gastroenterology, and the Pharmacy Services Prescribing Support Unit (PPSU). The role involves delivering care in accordance with Service Standards, National Professional Standards of Practice, and the Health and Care Professions Council Standards of Conduct, Performance, and Ethics. There are 14 rotations, each lasting up to 9 months.
The minimum educational requirement is a BSc in Dietetics, with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council, membership of the British Dietetic Association, and PVG membership scheme/Disclosure Scotland.
Interviews are scheduled for August. Candidates will be asked to give a 10-minute presentation on 'The purpose and use of nutritional screening in the NHS adult acute clinical setting.'
