Are you a talented legal professional with a passion for the fast-paced world of banking and payments?
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice and support to our growing banking and payments operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance, payment systems, banking operations, and financial products.
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to banking services, payment solutions, and partnerships.
* Ensure compliance with local and international banking and payments regulations
* Advise on matters relating to fintech, digital currencies, electronic money, and emerging financial technologies.
* Liaise with regulators, external legal counsel, and other key stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.
* Support the business in structuring transactions, product development, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments in the banking and payments industry to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Qualified solicitor or lawyer
* 3-5+ years of experience in banking, payments, or financial services law.
* Strong knowledge of banking regulations, payments law, and financial technology.
* Experience working with regulatory bodies, financial institutions, or fintech companies.
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and commercial awareness.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and prioritize effectively.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
