Category Manager, Grocery

We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to join our team! You'll collaborate closely with various internal departments including Store Operations, Logistics, Commercial/Buying and Marketing & Merchandising, as well as vendors to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products while maintaining optimal inventory levels to deliver availability while controlling waste and shrinkage.

Here's What You'd Be Doing
* Build and sustain effective relationships with our supplier network.
* Produce detailed analysis and insights on category opportunities, along with analytical support in the development of category plans.
* Develop and execute a clear assortment strategy to fit our on-demand delivery convenience offering.
* Analyse company data and external market data to determine key trends to drive category strategies
* Engage with new businesses to increase brand awareness and product range
* Work with internal teams across marketing, social, product and partnerships to optimise our customer offering, increase brand investments and hit company targets along with brand growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
* A minimum of 5 years category management/buying experience in Grocery
* Creative problem solver with an eye for detail
* Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
* Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
* Proven experience of outstanding negotiation and procurement practices to achieve cost savings
* Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
