We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Group Treasurer to join our Treasury team, based in Exeter or Bristol. This is a high-impact role within a listed business, offering exposure across cash management, capital markets, liquidity, and financial risk management.
Reporting to the Group Treasurer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient access to funding, robust financial risk controls, and strong governance across the Group.
As Assistant Group Treasurer, you will be instrumental in driving strategic financial excellence across the business:
Strategic Leadership
Support the development and delivery of a robust treasury strategy focused on efficient funding, cost optimisation, and long-term value creation.
Cash & Liquidity Management
Oversee group-wide cash positions, ensuring adequate liquidity.
Lead accurate cash forecasting and effective working capital management.
Funding & Capital Markets
Manage the Group's debt portfolio and support new financing transactions.
Contribute to sustainable and green finance initiatives.
Maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, and credit rating agencies.
Risk Management
Monitor key financial risks, implement approved hedging strategies, and support scenario analysis and stress testing.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with treasury policies, loan covenants, and reporting standards.
Support external disclosures and engagement with key stakeholders.
Treasury Operations & Systems
Drive operational excellence through automation, system development, and continuous process improvement.
What You'll Bring
You'll be an analytical, detail-oriented treasury professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Essential
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
Experience working in a busy treasury environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of accounting systems and financial reporting
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
